Investing in the Future of Green Parts
There’s growing interest in using recycled parts in vehicle repairs. For insurers, fleets and repairers, they can offer a practical way to manage costs, reduce waste and keep more original components in use.
But for green parts to become a more everyday part of the repair process, it needs to be easy to find the right part, get it quickly, and have complete confidence in its quality.
Over the past few years, backed by Copart UK, we’ve continued to invest in our people, operations, technology and processes, with a clear focus on making the experience of using green parts simpler, more reliable, and more efficient.
That investment is really starting to come together at our 25-acre HQ in Skelmersdale, where our brand-new warehouse is giving us greater capacity and flexibility as we continue to grow.
The new warehouse includes 3,000m² of dedicated panel storage. Now fully operational, it’s providing space for thousands of panels and is helping us to hold an even great range in stock for our customers.

But it’s not just about having more space. Our new warehouse also includes a dedicated Supply & Fit area, bringing another part of the repair journey into the operation.
Through our Supply & Fit service, engines and gearboxes can be supplied and fitted, helping fleets and repairers get their vehicles back on the road fast.

For repairers, having the right part available is important, but getting it quickly is crucial. That’s why we’ve continued to develop our national delivery operation, with hundreds of thousands of green parts available and next-day delivery across the UK.
The investment in our warehouse and wider operation means we are better placed to manage this growing demand, while continuing to improve the way parts are stored, prepared and moved.
And the focus is increasingly moving beyond simply supplying parts, too. It’s also about making the repair process as straightforward as possible for our customers.
In addition to Supply & Fit, we also provide a VIN Reinstatement service from our new warehouse. By helping restore a vehicle’s identity, it can provide additional confidence when a vehicle returns to service and is another way we can make the journey back onto the road easier.
Individually, these developments might seem quite different. But together, they tell a much bigger story.
We believe that our continued investment into infrastructure and capabilities is needed to remove some of the practical barriers that can make using recycled parts feel more complicated than using new ones.
Common questions are: Is the right part available? Can it be delivered quickly? Can it be fitted? Can I be confident in its quality and the vehicle once it is back on the road?
At The Green Parts Specialists, we aim is to make the answer to all those questions a little easier. And we think that really matters as attitudes towards green parts continue to change.
For many years, recycled components could sometimes be seen as last resort. Today, there’s a growing recognition that they can be a valuable part of a modern repair strategy – helping businesses manage costs and supply chains while keeping perfectly usable OEM components in circulation.
And we’re investing into make that choice easier.
A new warehouse, increased panel storage, dedicated Supply & Fit area, growing parts inventory, national delivery network and services like VIN Reinstatement are all part of that ongoing journey. And we won’t stop here.
As customer needs change and our industry continues to move towards more sustainable repair methods, we’ll keep investing, developing, and growing to better support our customers and make it easier to keep parts and vehicles in use for longer.
