Working together to improve vehicle recycling

We're really pleased to be working with Coventry University | Institute for Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering (AME) on a series of innovation projects focused on improving vehicle recycling.

Together, alongside SUSTAIN Steel, we're exploring how to make vehicle dismantling more efficient and how to recover the maximum value from vehicle metals while retaining the highest levels of purity.

To support this first phase, we provided the university with 20 end-of-life vehicles and worked alongside them to test a range of extraction techniques and tools. The aim is to understand which approaches deliver the best results in terms of value, speed, and cost-effectiveness.

It's great to be involved in projects that have the potential to benefit not only our business, but the wider automotive recycling sector too. We're looking forward to seeing the results and learning more from the research as it progresses.

A fantastic example of industry and higher education working together to tackle important challenges and drive innovation.
